Get Ready Skills Program (Coming soon)

The Get Ready Skills (GRS) Program is an individualized development program designed to help meet your child’s developmental milestones and prepare them for school. As a parent, sometimes it is unclear as to what developmental milestones are necessary at every stage of development. This program consists of an assessment to determine your child’s needs behaviorally, cognitively, developmentally, and socially. After the assessment, we design a program that is individualized and specific to your child’s needs. Your child will receive 1:1 (teacher to student ratio) instruction

from a Behavioral Therapist along with group instruction when

the child is ready. To aid with socialization, a 1:2 (teacher to

student ratio) instruction may occur to help with this skill.

Along with the individualized program is a monthly Parent

Training meeting with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts to

keep you up to date with your child’s progress and to help

educate the families on how to address certain concerns they

may have with their child in the home or within the community.

The GRS Program starts as early as 18 months of age and

continues through 5 years old with the goal of preparing your

child for Kindergarten.

GRS vs. Preschool or Daycare

The difference between the Get Ready Skills (GRS) Program and "Preschool" or "Daycare" is that this program is specifically designed for your child's needs. Every child has a starting point in their development and this program specifically targets your child's needs at that moment and will program for further gains in their development. Some preschool programs have cookie-cutter curricula that may not address your child's current needs. Your child's program with the GRS program is created by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) that uses Clinical Assessments that have been scientifically validated to assess current cognitive and developmental levels.  Your child will receive 1:1 (teacher to student ratio) instruction and occasionally a 1:2 (teacher to student ratio) instruction to aid with social skills. Most preschools have a ratio on average of 1:8 (teacher to student ratio) and upwards of 1:24 (teacher to student ratio). This does not allow for the maximum possible learning opportunities to be captured. Although preschool and daycare can be an all day program, the GRS Program is only 3-4 hours per day with guaranteed maximum learning potential. The length of this program is designed specifically to focus on learning with little downtime.

This program also offers training in areas not offered in preschool or daycare. Most preschool programs do not accept your child unless they are toilet trained. With the GRS program, we offer toilet training at the center as well as creating a program for toilet training at home. This is why we can start a learning based program as early as 18 months. We also assist with behavioral concerns and provide behavior support plans to help with these behavioral concerns. With our BCBAs, we provide parent training that you cannot receive from schools or daycare. Typically with preschools or daycares, you will be informed of the behavioral concern but no plan to address it. This is put solely on the parents. Since the GRS program is created by BCBAs who specialize in behavior modification, we can provide you with the tools to address the behavior and decrease the occurrences of that behavior through our parent training. The GRS program is designed to help all parents out who want to make sure their child is on target to meeting their developmental milestones, if not exceed them.
